Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)

It is estimated that 10% - 15% of the population suffer with I.B.S. and the disturbance can range from mildly irratating to severely dibillitating. The commonest symptoms of I.B.S. include abdominal pain, Diarrhoea, Constipation, a sense of urgency and bloated stomach.

Although there are no known causes of I.B.S. a link has been formed between the condition and psychological problems such as stress and anxiety. It is for this reason that Wythenshawe hospital in Manchester choose to treat the problem with Hypnotherapy and have found it to be highly effective showing a 71% success rate with I.B.S. patients who had treatment. (see BBC News "Imagine your gut as a river" 4/01/2004)

Combining Hypnotherapy, N.L.P., E.F.T. and Time Line Therapy the symptoms of I.B.S. can be considerably reduced or even eradicated within three to four sessions.
