Hypnosis ..... a gateway to success

How would you like to .... sit down, close your eyes, relax and feel good about yourself ?       0

Hypnosis is a naturally occuring state that many people experience everyday. Whilst watching T.V., reading a book or driving along a motorway we sometimes dissociate from the here and now into an altered state of awareness. Daydreaming is a good example of this. Even passing into (hypnogogic) or coming out of (hypnopompic) ordinary sleep involves a trance like state.

The experience of hypnosis is a pleasant feeling of relaxation and is an effective way of making contact with the inner (unconscious) self,an unwitting source of many of our problems and also a reservoir of unrecognised potential. Whilst in this relaxed state we are fully aware of what is happening and can if we wish awaken at any time. No one can be hypnotised against their will and a person can reject any negative or harmful suggestions if made whilst in a trance. It is very much a collaborative state between therapist and client and its success is dependant on both parties co-operating.

Used in a clinical setting hypnosis can have many benefits such as eliminating unwanted habits, boosting confidence and self esteem, reducing anxiety, panic attacks and stress, helping with sleep and emotional problems and can improve concentration. It is estimated that 85% of people can respond well to Clinical Hypnotherapy.
